ALFIE OF BRACKENHILL

Alfie is our 7 year old bay stallion. He is one of the smaller, most sought after stallions in the UK, he stands at 12.3h.h. He is a perfect example of what Gypsies have strove to breed for, for generations. As you can see, he has a flawless confirmation, excellent bone, a neat 'pint pot' head, small neat ears, nice short back, good shoulders, nice well rounded rump, nice thick arched neck, large dark shiny eyes, impeccable temperament and beautiful action. He has a thick, long double mane (we have put it to one side in the pictures to show his neck and shoulder). He has a broad, thick long

silky tail. Alfie carries an enormous amount of feather, off the front and back of the knee and off

the hock. He has a large moustache and beard, as you can see below (even when it's wet).

Alfie's coat gleams like glass, you can actually see your reflection in his rump. For presentation

and condition, Alfie could hold his own stood against any race fit thoroughbred. Alfie is not just

used for stud, he is also broken to ride and drive and is ridden competently by our 10 year old

nephew. He is a proven stallion who leaves his excellent traits time and time again in his

offspring (see colts 2 page). However, to keep this bloodline elite, we only stand him to a

handful of chosen mares each year. You will not find Alfie's offspring

flooding the UK or abroad. There is only one of his offspring in the US

(a bay colt) and one in Australia (a black and white colt), both were

exported in utero. We will have a small number of Alfie foals available

  for sale later this year.

We constently have enquiries from people wanting to buy Alfie, however

this is an irreplaceable stallion and he is not for sale at any price.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE 15H.H. AND 15.1H.H. QUALITY MARES IN FOAL TO ALFIE, AS WELL AS SMALLER MARES
